IF ONLY...

If only marriage can solve everything...

If I say yes, will it make your heart faithful to me?

If I say yes, will it clear your mind of all the doubts about us?

If I say yes, will it make you prioritize me over your dreams and ambitions? Your friends, your colleagues and your acquaintances?

If I say yes, will it make you want to understand me more?

If I say yes, will you accept my shortcomings, failures and inadequacies?

If I say yes, will you learn to be more sensitive to my feelings and needs? Will you be interested to know my dreams and fears?

If I say yes, will unconditional love suddenly fill your heart?

If only marriage can complete what is missing...but it never does...AND it never will.

my answer is definitely yes...
but marriage is just one aspect , though it can fill-up most of the missing things in life...
marriage anchored in true love will surely complement what the other aspects in life cannot...
marriage is not the only answer to life's problems, but it is the most sought of solutions...
in marriage, two people become one being, like two angels with only one wing - flying can only be done by
embracing each other...
God is the only Being who can complete what is missing and He instituted the sacrament of matrimony for two people in love
to grasp...

i agree doc... marriage does not make one love unconditionally, nor can it remove doubts or fill up whats missing. i guess you have to love someone unconditionally first, and to be crazy enough to cast all doubts to the wind, and to be ready to understand someone despite and in spite of his shortcomings... BEFORE you can even think of marriage. i did not marry my wife so that i would end up loving her. i loved her so much that i married her =)

Doc, marriage is good. It gives us comfort to know that there would always be someone by our side fighting our battles for us, making us laugh and at times cry. But marrying just for the sake of marrying is a no no no. Marriage is not a bed of roses and take note roses do have thorns. This would mean that although married life is good sometimes trials may come that would test how strong the marriage is. So, if somebody is marrying just because everybody else is doing it is not a good idea. Because when time comes that your marriage will be tested, could it stand the test of time?
