For Sherwin, Van and Mindy.
February 2, 2013 will be the 16th graduation exercise of the Department of Medicine of Silliman Medical Center with the theme: " WE WILL GET THERE". This will be held at the Bethel Hotel with no less than the vice president of PCP, Dr Priscila Caguiao as our honored guest.
This is my message to the graduates: Dr Sherwin Tiamzon, Dr Van Tawagon and Dr Rose Mindy Dorado:
The theme that you have chosen this year,
“We Will Get There”, is a reflection of
humility and a proclamation of perseverance.
It
takes a humble heart to persist though the long hours and seemingly unending
responsibilities, deadlines and criticisms.
Your determination, self denial, dedication and hard work has paid off
and you have achieved the goal of
becoming a bona fide internist.
As your mentors, we are all proud to confer
this title to you. However, as the theme
alludes, the future still holds so much promise and infinite
possibilities. There are inexhaustible
goals that you can set for yourself, with each goal achievable only by taking a
step forward with faith.
IN this sense, “ We Will Get There” is a tenacious
declaration of God’s faithfulness. A recognition that all throughout your
journey, God will get you there …. where
you are best fitted.
Once again, congratulations Mindy, Sherwin
and Van! And may God continue to be the driving force in your lives.
