Celebrating What I Missed

""We put thirty spokes together and call it a wheel;
But it is on the space where there is nothing that the  usefulness of the wheel depends.

We turn clay to make a vessel;
But it is on the space where there is nothing that the usefulness of the vessel depends.

We pierce doors and windows to make a house
And it is on these spaces where there is nothing that the usefulness of the vessel depends,

THEREFORE JUST AS WE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF WHAT IS... WE SHOULD RECOGNIZE THE USEFULNESS OF WHAT IS NOT...."   TAO wisdom

It is quite ironically and a bit trifling that in the process of completing what is missing, what is already present is missed out.

Just probably, and it is always a possibility, that whatever situation I am in now is the best situation for ME.

I am thankful for what I have, and for who I am..
BUT I would like to celebrate what I do not have and who I am not.

The leaves fall during the autumn to grow back in the spring.
Will the leaves and flowers be missed if they are always there?

It is my thinking that Love can only be experienced fully when the heart is broken for it is only with Love that the heart can heal.

I am thankful for only one thing and that is...EVERYTHING.

Although the Sterling castle was wondrous in sight, it is this tree that touched my heart. Surviving the autumn of my life. Anticipating the winter but looking forward to the spring.

Rachael Leigh quotes “I hate it driving more than anything in the whole world. I'm just an awful, awful driver. I get lost, I hit things: parked cars, one moving car, a pole in my parking garage. Just when I think I got everything under control, I'll miss seeing something out of the corner of my mirror.”
